There are many ways one might view the differences among us all. Often it’s easier to determine that ‘they’ are like this world and are therefore of this world. But have you ever thought that maybe they are like this world because they are like those who put themselves out into the world. The distinction is that people who share personality traits, character qualities, world views will appear similar but that doesn’t mean they are the same. People who value education will be educated. Those who value democracy will be democratic and political. Those who value wealth will be wealthy and among the wealthy. Problem is that many people have been deceived into valuing certain things they perceive as ‘good’ and although the individual may be intrinsically ‘good’ they are unintentionally caught up in things that aren’t good because they believe it is. It’s not that they’re bad, but that they’re blind with good intentions.
Just something to consider – next time you think to judge or condemn others, extend some understanding and compassion instead and realize that we all come out of ‘the world’, so others will be those coming out of it also.
